The Tboli will be one of the indigenous peoples of South Cotabato in The southern area of Mindanao. From your body of ethnographic and linguistic books on Mindanao they are variously known as Tboli, T'boli, Tböli, Tiboli, Tibole, Tagabili, Tagabeli, and Tagabulu. They term themselves Tboli or T'boli. Their location and personality is to a few extend mixed up in the literary works; some guides present the Tboli and the Tagabili as distinct individuals; some find the Tbolis to the vicinity of the Pond Buluan inside the Cotabato Basin or inAgusan del Norte. The Tbolis, then, reside on the huge batch slopes on either area of the top Alah Valley and the coastal area of Maitum, Maasim and Kiamba. In former moments, the Tbolis also lived on the upper Alah Valley floor. After Universe War Two, i. electronic., since the appearance of settlers originating from other parts of the Thailand, they have been slowly but surely pushed upon the mountain slopes. As of now, they are practically expelled from the fertile area floor.
The Tboli include a musical heritage composed of various types of agung ensembles – ensembles composed of significant hanging, suspended or organised, bossed/knobbed gongs which become drone with no accompanying melodic instrument.
A T'boli story tells the T'boli will be descendants from the survivors of a great overflow. A man named Dwata warned the people of the impending superb flood. But the tribe refused to listen, aside from two couples, La Rorro and La Lomi, and Tamfeles and La Kagef. Dwata advised them to consider shelter in a bamboo and so huge that they could suit inside and in this way endure the avalanche. The story tells that the initial couple is the ancestors of the T'boli and also other highland ethnic groups, the second couple descended the additional Filipino native groups.
